1. Why is it important that the church look different from the world? What are the primary ways the church is called to do this?

2. How are we able to live different than the world? See Philippians 2:13.

3. The main verb in vs. 16 translated as “holding fast” can actually mean “holding out.” Why is it important that the church both live a certain way and proclaim a certain message? Could there be true evangelism without the latter?
