Discussion Questions:

  1. Does your allegiance to Christ take ultimate precedence in your life?  How so?  
  2. How are you currently taking risks for Jesus?  Is He worth it?
  3. What is the evidence in your own life that the gospel has transformed the way you think?
  4. How are you discipling others in the church to boldly preach Christ to the lost?  
  5. Throughout this section Paul addresses the church in Philippi and Rome as “brothers” (see vv. 12 and 14).  Why is Paul able to do this, and what does this teach us about the church?
  6. How has the Lord used suffering in your own life to deepen your dependence on Him, to encourage other believers, and to minister the gospel to unbelievers?
